I have a question about heating the crystal soda. Is there any problem with using a saucepan that will also be used for cooking afterward (after it’s been cleaned, of course)? Is there anything I should be aware of?

I wouldn't use metal with the crystal soda. But you can easily heat the water in a saucepan and then transfer it to another container or bowl. ????????????️
